CIAA INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD ATHLETES OF THE WEEK
NAME: Ronee Tudor
INSTITUTION: Fayetteville State University
HOMETOWN: Charlotte, N.C.
Ronee Tudor had an outstanding run at the JDL Mondo Meet as she secured 2nd place in the 60m dash with a time of 7.63 seconds, her career best. This achievement not only makes her the top-ranked athlete in the CIAA conference for the 60m but also qualifies her for the NCAA Division II championships. She also finished 7th in the 200m with a time of 26.29.
NAME: Kenedy Shields
INSTITUTION: Virginia State University
HOMETOWN: Arlington, VA.
She won the high jump competition at VCU INVITATIONAL with a 1.65m (5ft 5) and she finished 2nd in the Long Jump at VCU INVITATIONAL with a 5.46m (17ft 11). She is currently ranked #1 in the CIAA and tied for #1 in the ATLANTIC region.
NAME: Lorenzo Pelham
INSTITUTION: Bowie State University
HOMETOWN: Waldorf, MD.
Pelham placed second in the 60m Hurdles finals with an outstanding time of 7.93 being one of two athletes to finish under eight seconds.
NAME: Luis Azar-Moise
INSTITUTION: Livingstone College
HOMETOWN: Jacksonville, FL.
Azar-Moise won the men's triple jump at the Dick Taylor Carolina Challenge beating out D1 athletes from Duke and NC Central. His mark of 14.62 meters was also an NCAA Provisional qualifying mark.
