CHARLOTTE, NC (March, 21 2024) - The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) will host its 2024 Bowling Championship in Salem, Virginia beginning Saturday, March 23rd – Sunday, March 24th, 2024. The event will be held at Lee-Hi Lanes - located at 1830 Apperson Dr. Salem, VA 24153. Opening ceremony will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday while bracket play will begin at approximately 11:05 a.m. The championship is free and open to the public.
The top eight (8) CIAA teams will come together to compete for the 2024 championship title. Southern Division Champion and defending Conference Champions Fayetteville State University (41-3 in CIAA) claimed the No. 1 seed. While Northern Division champions, Bowie State University, (43-5 in CIAA) will enter championship play as the No. 2 seed. FSU and BSU will be joined by No. 3 Virginia Union University, No. 4 Livingstone College, No. 5 Elizabeth City State University, No. 6 Johnson C. Smith University, No. 7 Shaw University, and No. 8 Virginia State University.
In last year’s championship final, Fayetteville State defeated Bowie State to win their fourth conference title in school history.
