Salem, VA (March 23, 2024) - The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) along with its Bowling Coaches Association announce the 2023-24 CIAA Bowling All-Conference team and superlatives.
The All-CIAA bowling team is highlighted by 2023-24 CIAA Player of the Year, Paige Rockwell, from Fayetteville State. Rockwell participated in 35 CIAA bowling contests to finish with the highest overall scoring average within the CIAA at 180.91.
A well-deserved honor for Head Coach, James Washington, as he was named CIAA Coach of the Year after leading Virginia Union to a 30-10 CIAA record (27-9 in division play) this season. Washington has led the Panthers to a No. 3 seed in this year's championship.
Bowie State University claims the CIAA Northern Division title with a 43-5 conference record and 33-3 Northern Division recod. The Broncos of Fayetteville State University take the Southern Division Title with a 41-3 conference record and a 32-0 in Southern Division play.
