FOOD LION MEN'S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Justin Steele, Johnson C. Smith
(So - Conyers, GA)

Steele ran a CIAA-best time of 47.93 in the 400 meters, finishing sixth at the Aggie Invitational. The Conyers, GA native also ran a leg on JCSU's 4x100 relay team that finished fifth overall with a time of 41.93. Steele's 400-meter time is the second fastest in the Atlantic Region this outdoor season. 

FOOD LION MEN'S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Glenn Butler, Lincoln (PA)
(Jr - Greenburgh, NY) 

Butler posted an NCAA provisional qualifying mark of 2.05m (6'8.75") in the high jump, finishing first overall at the DSU Sting Invite. His high jump mark is tied for 21st nationally and first in the Atlantic Region while also leading the CIAA this outdoor season. Butler also ran a leg on LU's 4x100 relay team that posted a time of 42.53 at the meet. 

FOOD LION WOMEN'S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Glenda Jenkins, Virginia State
(Jr - Woodbridge, VA)

Jenkins ran a personal-best time of 12.23 in the 100-meter dash at the Aggie Invitational, finishing as the highest placing Division II competitor at 14th overall. Her time ranks fourth in the CIAA and eighth in the Atlantic Region this season. Jenkins was also a part of VSU's 4x100 relay team that finished top 10 at the event with a time of 49.82. 

FOOD LION WOMEN'S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Kennedy Alexander, Winston-Salem State
(Jr - Charlotte, NC)

Alexander finished third overall, and highest among DII competitors, in the high jump at the Aggie Invitational with a mark of 1.65 meters (5'5"). Alexander's performance was just off her season-best mark of 1.66m, which she posted just a week prior and ranks second in the CIAA this season.
