CIAA OUTDOOR TRACK AND FIELD ATHLETES OF THE WEEK



NAME: Charnessa Reid
INSTITUTION: Winston-Salem State University 
HOMETOWN: Winston-Salem, N.C.
 

Charnessa is not slowing down during outdoor season, she captured first place in the 100mH with a time of 13.92 at the Blue Bear Invitational. Her time set another school record, ranks her first in the CIAA, and the Atlantic Region, and 7th in DII.
 

NAME: Yassine Kamara
INSTITUTION: Bowie State University 
HOMETOWN: Winston-Salem, N.C.

Kamara delivered a dominant performance at the Maryland Invitational, leading Bowie State with first-place finishes in both the discus (48.35m) and shot put (14.39m). Building on her stellar outdoor season.

NAME: Mychael Tucker
INSTITUTION: Virginia Union University 
HOMETOWN: Tampa, FL.

•    Won the 400m dash with a personal best time of 47.80.     
•    Ran a season-best 21.80 in the 200m at the Blue Bear Invitational.     
•    Was a key member of the 4x400m relay team that finished second overall.


NAME: Zachary Jones
INSTITUTION: Virginia Union University 
HOMETOWN: Chester, VA.

•    Placed 1st in the shot put at the Blue Bear Invitational in Salisbury, NC, with a season-best mark of 15.63m.     
•    Secured 2nd place in the discus throw with a mark of 46.60m.     
•    Also made it to the final in the javelin throw.
