HBCU Week NOW, a national programming initiative that celebrates the rich history and enduring legacy of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), announces the release of a powerful new episode in its Emmy- winning “Inside the CIAA“ digital series, now available for viewing on the HBCU Week NOW YouTube Channel.
“Inside the CIAA: Her Story” celebrates 50 years of women athletes who have shaped the long-standing legacy of the CIAA Women’s Basketball Tournament. The episode shines a light on the trailblazers, champions, and game-changers whose impact continues to resonate across the world of HBCU athletics.
As the CIAA Tournament continues to evolve, “Her Story” honors the women whose athletic excellence and leadership have defined generations. This release comes as part of the broader effort to commemorate and amplify the voices of women in HBCU sports history—past, present, and future.
