LELAND, N.C. (April 15, 2025) – Bluefield State University celebrated a historic victory at the 2025 CIAA Golf Championship, held at Magnolia Green Golf Club on April 14-15. The team clinched their first-ever CIAA title with a total score of 905 (+41).
Emmanuel Lim led Bluefield State earning CIAA All-Tournament honors by finishing third individually with a score of 220 (+4). His standout second round of 70 was pivotal in securing the championship. Lim shot 75 in the first and third rounds. Joseph Emery also made the All-Tournament Team, tying for fourth place with a score of 226 (+10). Emery had steady rounds of 76, 75, and 75.
Fayetteville State finished Runner-up with a total score of 910 (+46). Key performances from Sutton Dreier, who finished second individually with a score of 217 (+1), and Allan Terrazas, who tied for fourth with a score of 226 (+10). The two were recognized on the All-Tournament Team.
Virginia Union secured third place with a total score of 929 (+65). The team was led by Joseph Graham, who finished 12th individually with a score of 232 (+16), and Zaccheus Spann, who tied for 14th with a score of 235 (+19).
Davids Chavez's remarkable performance helped Virginia State secure a fourth-place finish in the team standings as he was crowned the Low Medalist Title with a 1-under-par 215. Chavez shot an unofficial lowest round in CIAA history with a 66 (-6) on the second day of the tournament.
