CHARLOTTE, NC (October 19, 2025) - The second and final day of the CIAA Volleyball Round Up wrapped up Sunday at Bowie State University, closing out an exciting weekend of competition across the conference. With every team battling to sharpen their play and climb the standings, this weekend’s action added even more anticipation as programs gear up for the CIAA Volleyball Championship next month.

Day Two Highlights

Fayetteville State (3–1 DIV, 9–1 CONF) and Winston-Salem State (3–1 DIV, 8–2 CONF) were the lone teams to post a 3-0 record on the weekend, with the Broncos currently holding the tiebreaker with their overall conference record.

Virginia Union (3–1 DIV, 5–4 CONF) and Bluefield State (3–1 DIV, 8–2 CONF) sit tied for second in the northern division, with the Big Blue having the advantage thanks to their conference record.
- 6 of the 8 matches on the day ended in straight sweeps, with the other two matches going to five sets.
Looking Ahead
This roundup was the second and final one of the season. The next time the teams will be gathered is in the 2025 CIAA volleyball postseason tournament, occurring November 20-23 back at Bowie State University. The event is free to attend and will feature the top programs from each division competing for the conference title and an automatic berth in the NCAA Division II Tournament. The championship will also stream live on the CIAA Sports Network, giving fans across the country a front-row seat to the energy, excitement, and tradition of CIAA volleyball.
