Winston-Salem State's Coach Hill Selected for 2024 NBA Draft Combine

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Coach Cleo Hill from the Winston-Salem State men's basketball team has been selected to work the 2024 NBA Draft Combine.

Coach Hill was selected to work the on-court basketball sessions at the combine which will take place May 13-15 in Chicago.

Coach Hill was named the CIAA Men's Basketball Coach of the Year after finishing the season 19-9 overall, with a .680 percentage, Hill and the Rams are 13-5 in the CIAA and 9-1 at home. Hill coached his team to a perfect 6-0 sweep of the Northern division. The 17-8 overall record is the best overall record in the CIAA.  The Rams finished the season ranked 10th in the D2CSC ranking and have been ranked in the Atlantic Region eight times this season. Hill has two players who have been named HBCU Player of the Week. One player was named CIAA Player of the Week back-to-back weeks and also a player has been named CIAA Defensive Player of Week three separate times including back-to-back weeks.  Under Hill this year the Rams are scoring 70.3 points per game. The Rams are 2nd in the CIAA in scoring defense averaging 63.2 points per game, and first in scoring margin (7.1). His team is second in field goal percentage (0.458), first in opponent field goal percentage (0.392), fourth in 3-point field goals made, and first in team defensive rebounds (27.0).
