CIAA 2023 Men's and Women's Cross Country Championship Takes Center Stage in Salem, VA

Charlotte, NC- The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated CIAA 2023 Men's and Women's Cross Country Championship. This prestigious event is set to take place on October 26th at the breathtaking Green Hill Park in Salem, VA. Anticipation is on the rise as fans and athletes alike eagerly await this exhilarating event. While the competition in both the men's and women's divisions will be fierce, all eyes are on the defending champions.

The Fayetteville State University men's team will be on a quest to repeat as champions, showcasing their exceptional talent and teamwork. The Lady Broncos of Fayetteville State are equally determined, setting their sights on winning their third consecutive team championship since championships have resumed and solidifying their legacy in CIAA cross country. As we approach the CIAA 2023 Men's and Women's Cross Country Championship, excitement is building, and the countdown has begun. Women’s 5,000-Meter Championship Race

11:35 a.m. - Women’s competitors called to the start line (Approximately 20 minutes to start)

11:40 a.m. - National Anthem

11:45 a.m. - Begin clerking procedure

11:50 a.m. - Second call to the start line

11:55 a.m. - Start line cleared of all non-competitors (5 minutes to start)

11:57 a.m. - Runners at the start line for instructions

12:00 p.m. - Start of Women’s 5,000-meter championship race

Men’s 8,000-Meter Championship Race

12:25 p.m. - Men’s competitors called to the start line (Approximately 20 minutes to start)

12:30 p.m. - Begin clerking procedure

12:35 p.m. - Second call to the start line

12:40 p.m. - Start line cleared of all non- competitors (5 minutes to start)

12:42 p.m. - Runners at the start line for instructions

12:45 p.m. - Start of Men’s 8,000-meter championship race

Individual and Team Awards immediately following the Women’s Championship race
