High School: J.R. Tucker 

Meade anchored a Panther offensive line which allowed Virginia Union to rack up 458 yards in total offense as VUU downed Bowie State in record-setting fashion 52-3 on Saturday in Hovey Stadium in Richmond, Va.

Hometown: Chester, PA 

High School: STEM Academy High School 

Quarterback Isaiah Freeman was 13-for-20 on pass completions for 210 yards and 3 touchdowns. He also rushed for 50 net yards on 11 attempts in the Lions 27-21 homecoming win over ECSU.

 Hometown:  Goldsboro, North Carolina


High School: Cleveland High School 

Jashawn Middletown had three receptions for 42 yards and two touchdowns to help the Rams win 41-20 over Shaw.

FOOD LION OFFENSIVE BACK OF THE WEEK

#3 Jada Byers, Virginia Union

Position: Running Back 

Class year: Junior

Hometown: Bridgeton, NJ

High School:  St. Joseph's 

Virginia Union University's Jada Byers rushed for 223 yards and two touchdowns as VUU defeated Bowie State University in record-setting fashion 52-3 on Saturday, October 14, at Hovey Stadium in Richmond, Va.

Willie had an outstanding game, leading a secondary that only allowed 127 yards passing. Willie had 2 INT’s, 3 tackles & 4 pass breakups.

Roy was electric in the punt return phase, he averaged 17 yards in 3 punt returns for 50 yards. He also led the team in receiving, grabbing 4 catches for 65 yards.

#97 Cameron Davis, Virginia State

Class year: RS Freshman

Hometown: Henrico County, VA

Cam was dominant again from his interior DT position in leading the team in tackles with 8, 5 solos & .5 TFL. VSU defense held its opponent to 232 yards of total offense—105 rushing & 127 passing.
