CHARLOTTE, N.C. (August 28, 2024) - The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) announces the 2024 All-CIAA preseason volleyball team and the predicted order of finish as voted on by the Sports Information Directors Association.
Shaw leads with four selections on the preseason team and is represented by Nayara Pereira, Kamille Patrick, Hailey Hopkins, and Lillian Carlson. Johnson C. Smith is right behind them with three selections, while Fayetteville State has two of their own.
Last Season, the Shaw Lady Bears concluded the season with a 31-6 overall record (18-0 CIAA), including their eighth-consecutive CIAA championship appearance which saw them defeat Elizabeth City State in four sets and clinch a berth in the NCAA championship.
