CIAA to Host “Live the Legacy” Golf Tournament in Conjunction with Football Media Day

DURHAM, N.C. (May 6, 2026 — The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA®)  will host its “Live the Legacy” Golf Tournament on Monday, July 13, 2026, at Hillandale Golf Course in Durham. The event will take place in conjunction with CIAA Football Media Day, bringing together conference leadership, coaches, student athletes, alumni, and supporters for a day of fellowship, competition, and celebration of the CIAA’s rich history. 

The “Live the Legacy” Golf Tournament is designed to honor the conference’s longstanding tradition of excellence while supporting future initiatives that enhance the student athlete experience across all CIAA member institutions. 

Teams and individuals are invited to participate in this premier summer event. The entry fee is $600 per four-person team or $150 per individual. Participants will enjoy a full day of golf, networking opportunities, and engagement with key stakeholders from across the conference. 

“This event is a meaningful way to connect our past, present, and future,” said CIAA Commissioner McWilliams Parker. “As we gather during Football Media Day, the tournament provides an opportunity to celebrate our legacy while investing in continued growth and success for our student athletes.” 

The tournament is expected to draw a wide range of participants, including institutional representatives, corporate partners, and community supporters, all united in their commitment to the mission and impact of the CIAA.
