Charlotte, NC (January 27, 2026) – CIAA Indoor Track and Field programs continued 2026 competition with strong performances in sprint, distance, hurdle, jump, and throw events. Four student athletes earned recognition for their efforts during the week of January 18 through January 24.
WOMEN’S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Faith Kiplimo, Fayetteville State University
Sophomore distance runner Faith Kiplimo placed third overall in the 800 meters at a Division I heavy competition, clocking 2:16.14. The performance ranks tenth among HBCU athletes and twenty ninth in Division II, while moving her to first in the CIAA in the event.

Aaliyah Whyte, Fayetteville State University
Senior thrower Aaliyah Whyte continued her strong indoor campaign with a 12.95-meter mark in the shot put, placing her inside the top ten among Division I competitors and maintaining her position among the top HBCU throwers. Whyte also enters the latter half of the indoor schedule ranked first in the CIAA in the weight throw.

Terry McNeil, Lincoln University (PA)
Terry McNeil produced a strong showing in the 60-meter hurdles at the HBCU Showcase in New York, placing second in the finals with a time of 8.34 after qualifying at 8.48 in prelims. McNeil scored eight team points and finished as Lincoln’s top individual scorer of the meet.

Adam Green, Lincoln University (PA)
Adam Green contributed across events at the HBCU Showcase, placing sixth in the high jump with a clearance of 1.88 meters while also competing in the 60 meters. His results highlight his versatility and value across multiple disciplines for the Lions.
CIAA Indoor Track and Field competition continues as teams position themselves for championship contention ahead of the 2026 CIAA Indoor Track and Field Championships. The championship meet will take place February 15 through February 16 at Tryon International in Mill Spring, North Carolina.
