FOOD LION SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
#88 Brady Myers, Virginia Union
(FR., K/P - Orlando, FL)
Brady Myers played the role of "hero" with a walkoff 42-yard field goal in overtime of the Panthers' 27-24 win over Bowie State. After Virginia Union came up with the goal line stand against the Bulldogs, the freshman calmly hit the 42-yarder to avoid a second overtime period. In the game, the Orlando, FL native made all three of his point-after tries and connected on a field goal earlier in the game — a 20-yarder in the first quarter. His game-winning kick in overtime came from 42 yards and it was redemption for the kicker after he missed a 43-yarder before halftime.
