Single Session Tickets for 2020 CIAA Basketball Tournament On-Sale February 1

Charlotte, NC (January 31, 2020) – Single session tickets for the highly anticipated 2020 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournament will go on-sale Saturday, February 1. The 75th CIAA Basketball Tournament will take place February 25-29 in Charlotte, North Carolina. 

Ticket prices range from $30 to $225, based on the dates and seats selected (general admission, center court and courtside). Courtside tickets are $150 per session for Thursday and Friday and $225 for Saturday. 

Tickets will be available through Ticketmaster and the CIAA office as well as the Bojangles’ Coliseum and Spectrum Center box offices. With a 22-game schedule across both tournaments, men’s and women’s teams will begin play at Bojangles’ Coliseum on Feb. 25-26. Games will move to the Spectrum Center Feb. 27-29.

Fans can still purchase all-session packages (22-games), starting at $200 and includes all men’s and women’s games held during tournament week. 

A percentage of all ticket sales will directly benefit the CIAA’s 12-member institutions and provide scholarship funds to the conference’s student-athletes.

The first CIAA men’s tournament took place in 1946 at Turner’s Arena in Washington, D.C. and was presented on a budget of only $500. Over the next seven decades, the tournament has become one of the most successful annual college events in the country, adding the women’s Championship in 1975.
 
After stints in Norfolk, VA, Durham, Greensboro and Raleigh, NC, the tournament found a home in Charlotte in 2006. 2020 marks the 15th consecutive and final year in Charlotte and the 75th year of the CIAA basketball tournament.
