5553 OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK 

                                                                            Jailyn Ivey, Virginia State University
                                                                (Jr, OH - Bowie, MD, 16)

Ivey had a strong week with 76 kills, 48 digs, and 10 service aces for the Trojans in five of her team's six matches. The junior outside hitter recorded three double-doubles and her best performance came against Fayetteville State where she had 25 kills and 11 digs with 29.5 points. She finished with 88.5 points and helped VSU to a 3-2 record in the games she played (4-2 overall).

5553 DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

                                                            Aisja Jones, Shaw University
                                                       (Sr, L - Red Oak, TX, 11)

Jones had a strong week defensively with 67 digs, including a team-high and career-high 23 against Fayetteville State. The Red Oak, TX native also contributed 10 assists and four service aces in helping the Lady Bears to a 4-0 record in CIAA play during the week.

5553 SETTER OF THE WEEK 

                                                            Bria Anderson, Virginia State University
                                                    (Jr, S - Cumberland, VA, 4)

In five matches, Anderson recorded 157 assists, including top performances of 49 and 41 assists in two matches. The Cumberland, VA native was the assist leader in four of five matches and also contributed 15 digs, four total blocks, and three service aces while helping Virginia State to a 3-2 record in the matches she played (4-2 overall).

5553 ROOKIE OF THE WEEK 

                                                               Casandra Watson, Fayetteville State University
                                                    (Fr, OH - Grifton, NC, 5)

Watson led the Broncos with 47 kills and recorded 22 digs on the week, including a double-double performance against Shaw with 21 kills, 12 digs, and 21.5 points. The Grifton, NC native finished with 53 points and also added five total blocks and three service aces in helping Fayetteville State to a 3-1 record.
