RALEIGH, N.C. – For the second consecutive year, Shaw University football will have three seniors participating in the 2019 Historically Black College & Universities (HBCU) Spirit of America Bowl on Sunday, Jan. 20 at the Salem Football Stadium in Sale, Va.

here, with a kickoff time scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
The three Shaw football seniors include Keon Marsh (Queens, NY), Raymond Green, Jr. (Durham, NC) and Andrew Cash (Semora, NC).
Marsh, a 6-foot-3, 185-pound quarterback finished his 2018 campaign with 2,333 yards on 202-of-314 pass completions (3
rd in the CIAA) and 18 touchdowns while Green, Jr. – a 5-foot-10 wide receiver had his best year of his career for Shaw this past season with 31 receptions (3
rd on team), 558 total reception yards and four touchdowns.
Cash, a 6-foot-2, 210-pound linebacker and one of the key figures in the Bears’ defense this season tallied 62 tackles (3
rd on team), four tackle for loss, three pass breakups and 1.5 sacks.
The HBCU Spirit of America Bowl, will feature over 100 of the best players from all HBCU football programs from across the country. The HBCU Spirit of America Bowl and Dream Bowl Weekend will celebrate the tradition, heritage, and community of HBCU football with its athletes, fans, students, and alumni, by capturing the spirit found on the over 100 HBCU campuses around the nation.
