Strong Second Half Propels Golden Bull Men to First Conference Win of the Season

Cayse Minor scored a game high 16 points to help lead Johnson C. Smith's men's basketball to a 61-54  win over Chowan University, Thursday.  It was the first conference win of the season for JCSU.

Minor got support from Roddric Ross and Nenad Milenkovic with 12 points each.

After shooting a blistering 50% from the field to take a 34-28 halftime lead, Chowan cooled off in the second half as JCSU took advantage of 14 Hawk turnovers to surge to victory.

Chowan, who came into the game ranked #10 in the Atlantic Region, suffers their second loss of the season and fall to 10-2 overall (3-1 CIAA).  JCSU improves to 3-7 (1-3 CIAA).

JCSU's men return to action Saturday, Jan 12 when they host the Vikings of Elizabeth City State.  Tipoff is set for 4:00 p.m. in Brayboy Gymnasium.
