Virginia State University Women’s basketball program partnered up with Virginia State University Federal Credit Union & Petersburg Social Services Angel Tree Program. The program allows members of the community to stop by VSU Federal Credit Union and select an Angel tag from the tree. Each tag is made for a boy or girl and has their names, sizes, and a suggested gift on it.

Virginia State University Women’s basketball program will be sponsoring three Angels from the Angel Tree by providing the children with gifts from their wish list such as toys, bikes, shoes, clothes, headphones, board games, etc. ‘’We wanted to step away from basketball and think about the less fortunate,” states VSU Head Women’s Basketball Coach James Hill, Jr. This will give us the opportunity to give back and bring a smile upon three kids this Christmas Holiday. The Trojans women’s basketball coaching staff delivered the gifts to the VSU Federal Credit Union on December 13th.
