VIRGINIA STATE NOW 25TH IN LATEST WBCA POLL

The Virginia State University women's basketball team, fresh off a
77-64 win over CIAA rival Virginia Union University, dropped one
spot to 25th in the nation in the latest WBCA USA Today/ESPN poll,
released on January 19.
The top five spots remained unchanged, with Franklin Pierce
University ranked #1, Delta State University at #2 and the
University of Indianapolis at #3.
Gannon University, the top team in the Eastern Region, is still
undefeated and ranked fourth in the nation.
Shaw University dropped out of the top 25, falling to 26th.
The Lady Trojans are the only CIAA team ranked in the Top 25.
