ECSU's Johnson, Tarasoff named
to AVCA All-Region Team
Junior Tandem Helped Lady Vikings capture First Ever CIAA
Championship

Lexington, KY- Elizabeth City State volleyball players Eva Johnson
and Ashley Tarasoff have been named to the American Volleyball
Coaches Association All-Region (Atlantic) Team.
This past season Johnson and Tarasoff were both First Team All-CIAA
performers for the Lady Vikings. The helped lead ECSU to the best
record in school history (31-10) including an undefeated conference
record and capped their impressive season with the school’s
first ever CIAA Volleyball Championship and their first bid to the
NCAA Volleyball Playoffs. Eva Johnson, a two-time All-CIAA honoree
and the Championship MVP, was named to the All-Atlantic Region Team
while Ashley Tarasoff who ranks third in NCAA Division II in
service aces was tabbed as an Honorable Mention.
