VSU'S JACKSON FINISHES FIFTH AT NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS

Virginia State University's Dwan Jackson finished fifth in the Men's Triple Jump at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday (May 23) at Angelo State University in San Angelo, Tex.
Jackson, a freshman, jumped 15.11 meters (49 ft., 7 in.). The event was won by Ramon Sparks of Abilene Christian College with a leap of 15.97 meters.
Joe Kindred of Saint Augustne's College was second at 15.72 meters while Kiara Jones of Pittsburg State was third at 15.50 meters. Barry Batson of Morehead was fourth at 15.26 meters.
