NCAA Division II Coaches Name Regional Award Winners for 2006 Outdoor Track & Field Season

The U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association
(USTFCCCA) has named its regional athlete and coaching awards for
the 2006 outdoor season. NCAA coaches nominate and select award
winners in their respective division. Awards will be presented to
both athletes and coaches on Wednesday evening at Emporia State
University, site of the Division II Outdoor Track & Field
Championships.
The NCAA Division II national winners will be selected on Wednesday of this week and will be posted at http://www.ustfccca.org/. The following coaches and athletes won Division II regional awards:
Southeast Region
Marc Harrison, Bowie State. Harrison's Bulldogs claimed their first-ever Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association women's championship, defeating St. Augustine's by 18 points. Bowie State is ranked third and sixth in the two relays heading into the NCAA Division II Championships.
