Comments:
The Hawks went 3-3 this week and Alora came in to help secure the
Hawks’ lone road win over Millersville University. With the
game knotted at 2-2, Lincoln came in to retire nine batters over
the final three innings for the CU 3-2 win. Alora gave up just one
hit over those three innings, and struck out one batter to help
give her team the road win over Millersville. She also was critical
to the Hawks’ 6-0 win over Virginia State on Tuesday
afternoon. Alora pitched seven innings of shut-out ball; scattering
just four hits and striking out three batters.

Comments:
Amber Matthews had a solid week at the plate for Chowan, going
6-12; including a 4-6 outing in a double-header sweep to open CIAA
play at Virginia State. She knocked in three runs and drew three
walks in a 3-3 week for the Hawks.

Comments:
Coach Balduf led her team to a 3-3 week picking up a crucial 3-2
win on the road against Millersville and two CIAA wins. They lost
two games by a combined two runs (7-6 to Millersville, 6-5
Shepherd). The Hawks opened CIAA play at Virginia State where they
picked up two key wins.
