Rookie of the
Week - Notes of Interest:
Bria Robinson set a new career-high for rebounds in
a single game with 12 against Barton to go with 16 points- just one
point shy of tying her career-high in that category, which she set
last week against St. Andrews. Robinson shot 50 percent from the
field and also blocked two shots, leading the Lady Broncos in
points, rebounds and blocks against
Barton.

Patrick Mashuda, Chowan University
Mashuda led the Hawks to a 62-59 upset win over Barton in
Chowan's only game this week. Barton came into the game with no
losses against unranked opponents this season. This was Mashuda's
first victory over Barton in his eight seasons at Chowan.

Jaaber guided the Panthers to a 67-54 win over Virginia State
University in the 2011 Big Apple Classic on December 4, 2011.
It marked VUU's 22nd straight win over VSU, and gave Jaaber his
first CIAA win as a head coach.
