Week - Notes of Interest:
Wright had a solid week for the Blue Bears helping them to a 1-1
record and an upset victory over the Shaw Bears Thursday evening.
Wright had a strong game against VA Union on Monday, coming up just
one rebound short of a double-double as she had 22 points and 9
boards.

last week.
Coach of the
Week
Donna Polk, Bowie State University
The surging Lady Bulldogs, ranked 5th in the NCAA Atlantic
Region, are winners of seven of their last eight games. Head
Coach Donna Polk recorded another unbeaten week, defeating Shaw and
Elizabeth City State to improve BSU's record to 11-4 overall, 11-2
in the CIAA and 1-0 in the East.

Week - Notes of Interest:
Despite two Shaw losses this week, Callwood's play was stellar. He
scored a career-high 38 points and added 10 rebounds against Bowie
State on Monday. Against Livingstone, he paced the Bears with
22 points - giving him 60 points for the week - over half of Shaw's
total points.

the Week - Notes of Interest:
Hyman was a beast on the defensive end of the court. The CIAA's
leading shot blocker, continued to alter opposing teams shots,
swatting away a school-record 13 against Elizabeth City
State. In two games this week, Hyman averaged 11 points,
eight blocked shots and seven rebounds.
Coach of the
Week
Lonnie Blow, Jr., Saint Augustine's College
Coach Blow led the Falcons to a 2-0 record last week
including an 85-78 win over two-time defending CIAA champion
Johnson C. Smith. On Wednesday, the Falcons were ranked eighth in
the Atlantic Region.
