SAU Golf at PGA Minority Championship This Weekend

Raleigh, NC (May 10) – Saint Augustine’s University will compete in the PGA Minority Golf Championship on Friday, May 11, through Sunday, May 13, in Port St. Lucie, Fla. The tournament tees off at 7:30 a.m. each day at the PGA Golf Club. 

Led by CIAA Coach of the Year Julius Wells, the Falcons are among the contenders for the Division II title in the tournament. They improved significantly this season, placing third in the CIAA Championship after finishing last the previous three seasons.  

Representing the Falcons at the tournament are Sam Cudjoe (Fr./Bethel, Trinidad and Tobago), James Thomas Moore (So./Fairfax, VA), Jaylon Lynn (Fr./Garner, NC) and Curt Morris (Fr./Cartersville, GA). Cudjoe was named CIAA Golfer of the Year and CIAA Rookie Golfer of the Year in addition to making the All-CIAA squad. He is coming off an NCAA Regional golf appearance earlier this week.
