JCSU Golf Inks Tyler Jolly to National Letter of Intent

Charlotte, N.C. (May 4, 2016) – Johnson C. Smith University head golf coach William Watkins has signed Tyler Jolly to the binding National Letter of Intent to play for the Golden Bulls.

Jolly, from Augusta, Ga., has helped the Academy of Richmond County advance to this seasons Georgia High School Association tournament.  This season, he has posted a nine-hole average of 41.7.  His play has sparked the Musketeers to a fourth place finish in the 11-team 3AAAAA region.  In addition, they finished in fifth place of the 12-team CSRA Invitational Tournament.

“We are looking forward to having Tyler join our Golden Bulls golf program,” said head coach William Watkins.  “He has a solid game and will definitely be competitive in the CIAA.  This signing will improve our program and will allow us to move up the ranks in the CIAA.”
