Falcon Golfers Finish Third at CIAA Western Division Tourney

CHARLOTTE, NC -Saint Augustine's College opened the 2008 spring golf season with a third-place finish at the CIAA Western Division Tournament held March 10-11 at the par 72, 6,334-yard Myers Golf Course.

Fayetteville State won the tournament with a two-day score of 564 (12 under) followed by Virginia State with a score of 586 and the Falcons with a score of 633.

Three Falcon golfers were among the top 15 individual finishers. Aaron Oliver (Pittsburgh, PA) placed 12^th with a two-day score of 152, Julius Wells (Bridgeport, CT) finished 13^th with a score of 153 and Larry Whiteside (Columbus, OH) placed 15^th with a score of 158.

The Falcons tee off again March 15-17 at the Winston-Salem State Tournament in Winston-Salem, NC.
