Comments: Gray helped guide the #2 WSSU Rams to
484 yards of total offense in their 62-31 win over Shaw
University.

Comments: Jeffries had a career and record-setting
day with his performance in the 27-21 win over Saint Augustine's.
He caught eight passes for 170 yards and three touchdowns. It was
his first 100-plus yard game of the season. Jeffries' 170 yards
receiving sets a career and a JCSU single-game record. His three
touchdown catches were also a career-high.

Comments: Kameron Smith was 23 of 36 for a
career-high 363 yards and six touchdowns, while also rushing for
one score in WSSU's 62-31 win over Shaw University. Smith played
just three quarters in the win.

Comments: Bailey, Jr. broke Fayetteville State's
single-game rushing record as he ran for 288 yards and three
touchdowns on 36 carries in Fayetteville State's 47-29 win over
Livingstone. His 288 yards and three touchdowns are both
career-highs. Bailey eclipsed the previous single-game mark of 265
yards set by Clifton Davis in 1993 and has reached the 200-yard
rushing plateau in back-to-back games. Colon had a game-long rush
of 40 yards and averaged eight yards per carry.

Comments: Edwards had an explosive game against
Fayetteville State, recording a career high 17 tackles, one forced
fumble and two fumble recoveries. One of his fumble recoveries
resulted in a 23 yard touchdown.

Comments: Carlos Fields continues to lead the
Rams’ defense, as he finished with nine tackles and one
forced fumble in WSSU's 62-31 win over Shaw University.

Comments: In the Vikings' 27-21 win over Virginia
Union on Saturday, Rios swung momentum in ECSU's favor with his
first interception of the season; which he returned 94 yards for a
TD. Rios also finished the day with seven solo tackles.

Comments: Pumphrey had a stellar performance and
played a key role in spoiling the Lincoln (PA) Lions’
Homecoming by recording a team-high nine tackles (five solo and
four assisted), one interception return for 30 yards and three punt
returns for 97 yards. One of Pumphrey's returns was a 68 yard
touchdown. Curtis had one return for 103 yards called back in Bowie
State’s 45-9 rout of the Lions.

Comments: Symonds had another solid outing in
ECSU's division clinching win over Virginia Union. He connected on
two 27 yard field goals, was 3-3 on extra point attempts and booted
six kickoffs for 350 yards; four of which were touchbacks.
COACH

Comments: Coach Aycock has expanded the JCSU win
streak to three consecutive games after a 27-21 victory over Saint
Augustine's during Homecoming. The Golden Bulls have rattled off
three straight victories in-conference, despite being counted out
by most when they lost to #2 Winston-Salem State and Lincoln (PA).
Aycock earned his first career victory over the Falcons and JCSU
has a three game win streak for the first time since 2006.
General Notes of Interest:
• Chowan defeated Virginia State on the road to earn their first victory over the Trojans in their five game series.
• Fayetteville State head coach Kenny Phillips won his 75th game at the helm of the Broncos program in the 47-29 win over Livingstone. He is now 75-62 in his 13 seasons with the program.
