St. Aug's Shaw Earns Baseball All-Region Second Team Honors

CIAA player of the year Anthione Shaw (Soph./Chicago, Ill.) of Saint Augustine's College was named to the 2009 Daktronics Baseball All-Atlantic Region Second Team on Wednesday (May 13).
Shaw, an All-CIAA first-team shortstop, led the Falcons to their
first CIAA regular-season championship since 2005 and first winning
season (26-13 overall) since 2000. As of games through May 10, Shaw
ranks among the top 5 nationally in Division II in three
categories: runs per game (third/1.47), on-base percentage
(third/.569) and batting average (fourth/.479).
Shaw and designated hitter Shawn McEnhimer of Virginia State are the only CIAA players on either the All-Atlantic Region first or second team. McEnhimer was a second team pick.
