Hawks Bowling Set to Host CIAA Event III

Murfreesboro, NC-The Chowan Women's Bowling team gears up to host the CIAA Event III on Friday, March 9-11 at the Rocky Mount Bowling Center.

Chowan looks to keep the momentum from a 9-6 record and 9,413 total pin count during the CIAA Round Up in February. 

Kailah Herbin will pace the Hawks into the weekend after averaging 132.00 following the Round Up. Not far behind is teammate Leslie Maloney who averaged 130.00 for the Blue and White. 

Heading into the tournament averaging 129.90 while posting a personal record for the Hawks is Raven Finley-Flowers.

Jasmine Basnight and Jasmine Miles will also be competing for the Chowan this weekend. 

The Hawks will compete against conference opponents, Bowie State, Fayetteville State, Shaw, St. Augustine's, Virginia State and Virginia Union. 

The Hawks finished the tournament in third place with a 5-7 overall record and posted a 1-3 mark in Baker format. As a team, Chowan carded a pin count of 10,071 over the course of three days.
