Bowlers Place Second at CIAA Round-Up

The Virginia Union University women's bowling team went 13-2 and dealt Fayetteville State University its first loss of the season at the CIAA Round-Up, held February 9-11 in Raleigh, NC.

VUU defeated Saint Augustine's University, Shaw University, Johnson C. Smith University and Livingstone College on all three days of the competition. 

The Lady Panthers downed Fayetteville State University on the third day (February 11) by the score of 806-753.

Virginia Union's Deja Overby took home high-game honors for the Lady Panthers with a single-game score of 204.

VUU's Amaree Durfee was named Top Rooke at the Round-Up. Durfee, a redshirt freshman from Sacramento, Cal., averaged a score of 162.2 per game over the Round-Up.

Virginia Union is now 36-16 overall and are in second place of the Northern Division of the CIAA with a 17-7 conference record.
