CIAA to Host 2016 Bowling Championship in Chesapeake, VA

Charlotte, NC (March 15, 2016) – The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) will host its 2016 Bowling Championship in Chesapeake, Virginia on Friday, March 18 – Sunday, March 20, 2016. For the second consecutive season, the championship event will be hosted at AMF Western Branch Lanes.

The defending Champion Bowie State University Bulldogs (31-5) have clinched the 2016 CIAA Northern Division Title while the Broncos of Fayetteville State University (33-0) swept the Southern Division.  BSU and FSU will be joined in Chesapeake by the following top three teams of each division.

In addition to their competition at the lanes, the CIAA bowling teams will engage in the local community through the Special Olympics of Chesapeake.

In last year’s championship, Northern Division rivals battled the lanes as the Lady Bulldogs swept the Virginia State University Trojans 4-1 for the Conference Title.
