Bowie State Leads Bowling Championship After First Day

Fayetteville, NC (November 5, 2006) The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) bowlers started the 6th Annual Bowling Championship in good fashion.. Twenty-seven bowlers had a first day pin average of 200 plus with Shaw University's Michelle Moore averaging a 266. She is followed by Saint Paul's College Daria Ruttler bowling a 255.
At the end of first day's competition, defending champions Bowie State is the leader with 50 points. The Lady Bulldogs are followed by Fayetteville State University with 47.5. Round out the top five are Saint Paul's College 43.5, Shaw University 40 and Virginia State University 36.
The CIAA Bowling Coaches Association announce the CIAA 2006 All-Conference Bowling Team at its annual banquet held at Fayetteville's Holiday Inn - Bordeaux. The 2006 selectees:
