CIAA Announces Cross Country Performers of the Week
CHARLOTTE, NC (September 22, 2026) – The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA®) has announced Miranda McLean of Lincoln University (PA) and Allan Kipkorir of Virginia Union University as the CIAA Women’s and Men’s Cross Country Performers of the Week following standout performances in their latest competitions.
WOMEN’S CROSS COUNTRY PERFORMER OF THE WEEK
Miranda McLean | Lincoln University (PA) | Senior
McLean turned in another impressive performance for the Lions at the UMES Invitational, finishing fourth overall with a time of 22:08.57.
The senior’s top-five individual finish helped lead Lincoln University (PA) to a third-place team finish at the meet, continuing a strong stretch of performances for McLean and the Lions.
MEN’S CROSS COUNTRY PERFORMER OF THE WEEK
Allan Kipkorir | Virginia Union University | Freshman
Kipkorir delivered a championship-caliber performance at the CNU XC Invite in Newport News, Virginia, capturing first place in the men’s 8K race with a time of 25:33.4.
The freshman crossed the finish line ahead of the field to secure the individual victory for Virginia Union University, earning CIAA Men’s Cross Country Performer of the Week honors.
The CIAA Cross Country Performers of the Week are voted on by the CIAA Sports Information Directors Association.
