DURHAM, N.C. (July 13, 2026) – The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA®) successfully hosted its 2026 CIAA Live the Legacy Golf Tournament on Monday at Hillandale Golf Course, welcoming more than 20 teams of corporate partners, institutional leaders, alumni, and supporters for the conference's annual fundraising event benefiting CIAA student athletes.
Held in conjunction with CIAA Football Media Day, the tournament serves as an important initiative to raise annual support that empowers the CIAA to achieve excellence while nurturing the academic success, athletic development, leadership growth, and personal development of its student athletes.
“The CIAA Live the Legacy Golf Tournament is more than just a day on the golf course it is an opportunity to celebrate our rich legacy and strengthen the fellowship that unites CIAA fans, alumni, member institutions, and supporters,” said CIAA Commissioner Jacqie McWilliams Parker. “This event is an investment in the future of our conference, helping to sustain our proud tradition while building on the continued success of our student-athletes and member institutions. Every team, sponsor, and participant represents a shared commitment to creating and expanding opportunities that empower our student-athletes to excel academically, compete at the highest level, and develop as leaders on their campuses and within their communities. The tournament provided participants with a day of friendly competition, networking, and fellowship while celebrating the beginning of the 2026 CIAA football season. More importantly, it highlighted the power of collaboration between corporate partners, member institutions, alumni, and friends of the conference who continue to support the success of nearly 3,000 CIAA student athletes.
