A native of Mebane, NC, Satterfield is a Sports Management major and is the Vikings punter and kicker. He currently serves as the ECSU’s SAAC President. Satterfield has served as a member of the ECSU SAAC since his freshman year and brings a wealth of volunteerism, excitement and commitment to his new appointment.

Satterfield will lead a new CIAA SAAC Executive Board, as they set out to meet the goals identified in their summer summit. Appointments include:

Helena Eubanks, Virginia State University (Northern Vice President)

Keith Quick, Winston-Salem-State University (Southern Vice President)

Sahara Attucks, Livingstone College (Social Media Coordinator)

Jayona Griffin, Johnson C. Smith University (Secretary/Historian)

Division II SAAC serves as the primary governance arm representing student-athlete interests in Division II affairs. SAAC members serve as student-athlete liaisons that monitor and discuss happenings on campuses, within the conference, and at the national level.

Representatives are responsible for gathering feedback and reporting on behalf of their conference, as well as relaying important events, hot topics, and educational information to both the campus and conference levels. In addition to relaying information across campuses and conferences, the committee speaks on behalf of the entire Division II student-athlete body throughout the NCAA governance structure.

Division II SAAC members serve as voting members on several Division II committees, including the Management Council. The SAAC also has voting authority during the Division II Business Session at the annual NCAA Convention.

“Leadership is one of the three pillars of the CIAA. I am extremely proud of the CIAA student-athletes who will represent the conference and have a voice to influence positive change, garner a greater understanding in conference and national governance structure and lead in this space. I look forward to working with this dynamic group of student leaders. They will play a key role in assisting to move the conference’s vision forward,” said CIAA Commissioner Jacqie McWilliams Parker.
