WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (May 15, 2024) –
Hayleigh Bryant from the Winston-Salem State University women's outdoor track and field team has qualified for the 2024 NCAA Division II Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Emporia, Kansas.
Bryant qualified in the 200m dash and will participate in that race May 23-25 on the campus of Emporia State University.
Bryant, a freshman from Greensboro, North Carolina qualified with an NCAA divisional time of 23.66 at the Dani Palooza Last Chance meet hosted by High Point University on May 12th. Bryant and the Rams found out she officially qualified via a press release on NCAA.com.

Antonio Wells. "We are proud of Hayleigh and all she already accomplished, and we look forward to representing the Rams in Kansas."
The last student-athlete who qualified for Nationals was Cierra Thompson (Pridgen) in the Winter of 2020. Pridgen is the current assistant track coach for WSSU.
A total of 377 student-athletes per gender qualified based on regular-season performances. Qualifying marks from Thursday, Feb. 15 to Sunday, May 12 were taken into consideration.

Heat and flight information will be posted online on Tuesday, May 21.
Bryant, who was named the CIAA Indoor Women's Track Athlete of the Year is scheduled to compete in the preliminary round on Friday, May 24 around 5:45 p.m.
