ETTRICK, VA– The first game of the day witnessed the top-seeded Bluefield State being shocked by No.4 Seed Livingstone with a 4-1 defeat. In the second game, the Golden Bulls emerged victorious over Elizabeth City State with a score of 5-1. The Golden Bulls are set to face Livingstone in the semifinals at 9:30am tomorrow. 

The reigning champions, the Bears of Shaw, secured a spot in the CIAA semifinals after a 4-0 win against Bowie State in the quarterfinals. Shaw is scheduled to take on No.2 seed Virginia State in the semifinals. A win in the finals would mark the Lady Bears' sixth consecutive CIAA title and 13th overall under the leadership of Head Coach Sunday Enitan.

In the fourth game, No.2 seed Virginia State swept Winston-Salem State with a 4-0 win. The Trojans will move on to the semifinals round to face Shaw at 11am. The 2024 CIAA Women’s Tennis Championship Tournament will continue on Saturday, April 27 at the Virginia State University Tennis Courts.
