CHARLOTTE, NC - CIAA Commissioner JacqIe McWilliams Parker is proud to announce the appointment of Alicia Walker as the new Women's Basketball Coordinator of Officials.

"The CIAA is honored to have Ms. Walker onboard to continue building on the legacy and foundation," said CIAA Commissioner Jacqie McWilliams. "She is highly respected nationally, regionally and locally in the basketball officiating community."

Walker, a veteran official with 20-plus years of on-court experience and beginning her thirteenth year as the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Coordinator of Women’s Basketball. For the past five years, Alicia has been the regional advisor for the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Program. 

“I am excited to join the CIAA and continue the growth of great officials in the historical conference," stated Walker. Alicia officiated in numerous Division I conferences from 1998 to 2019 and NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Championship games from 2004 through 2010.

A 1989 graduate of Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science degree, Walker was a data analyst for Emory University Hospital from 1990 to 2023, retiring after 33 years of service.
