CIAA Announces 2023 Preseason Volleyball All-Conference Team and Predicted Order of Finish

CHARLOTTE, NC - The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) announces the 2023 All-CIAA preseason volleyball team, as voted on by the CIAA Volleyball Coaches Association and Sports Information Directors Association, and the predicted order of finish as selected by the head coaches.

Elizabeth City State leads with six selections on the preseason team and is represented by Naijya Leggett, Clarke Blakemore, Jada Rouse, Elizabeth Kellum, Victoria White and Kayleigh Sullivan. 
 
Shaw was picked to win the Southern Division while Elizabeth City State was predicted to win the Northern Division. The Lady Bears of Shaw were also predicted to finish atop the conference overall.

Last season, the Shaw Lady Bears finished with a 15-1 record in the CIAA (24-8 overall) whille the Vikings of Elizabeth City State finished last season tied for first in the Northern Division with a 15-1 conference record and an overall mark of 26-9.
