FOOD LION OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
#24 Kourtney White, Claflin
(Fr., 2B - Newnan, GA)
Last week, Kourtney White went three-for-seven with an RBI and a double in two games against Converse College. In the first game of the doubleheader, the first-year player went one-for-three while the Panthers won 4-2. In the second game, the Newnan, Georgia native belted in two hits, including the two-bagger.
In the two games prior to last week, the second baseman went four-for-six with four RBIs, two stolen bases, and a run scored while lifting Claflin to two wins.

FOOD LION PITCHER OF THE WEEK
#5 Jaelyn Jackson, Claflin
(Sr., P - Denver, CO)
Jaelyn Jackson pitched 10 innings over two appearances last week, surrendering just four hits, two walks, and one earned run to Converse College, while striking out nine batters. In the 4-2 win, the senior pitched a complete game and allowed just three hits, two walks, and one earned run. The Denver, CO native had six strikeouts in that game. In the second game of the doubleheader, Jackson earned three punchouts in three innings of relief for the Panthers, while allowing just one hit and no runs.
For the season, Jackson has an earned run average of 2.79 and has recorded 49 strikeouts in 52.2 innings.

FOOD LION DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
#8 Regina DeDecker, Shaw
(Sr., OF - Carbondale, IL)
At centerfield, Regina DeDecker has been excellent defensively to start the season. The senior has recorded 20 putouts and one assist for a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage. On offense, DeDecker is leading the Bears in nearly every major offensive category: batting average (.333), OPS (.804), hits (8), runs scored (5), stolen bases (5), and runs batted in (4).
The Carbondale, IL native was recently named to the All-Tournament team for her performance at the NFCA Division II Leadoff Softball Classic in Columbia, GA in late February.

FOOD LION ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
#24 Kourtney White, Claflin
(Fr., 2B - Newnan, GA)
In addition to being named the CIAA Player of the Week, Kourtney White also was chosen as the Rookie of the Week, following last week, where she went three-for-seven with an RBI and a double. For the season, White owns a batting average of .343 with 10 RBIs.
