CIAA Announces 2022-23 Bowling All-Conference Team and Superlatives

CHARLOTTE, NC - The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) along with its Bowling Coaches Association announce the 2022-23 CIAA Bowling All-Conference team and superlatives. 
 
The All-CIAA bowling team is highlighted by 2022-23 CIAA Player of the Year Freshman Brooke Smith from Shaw. Smith participated in 32 CIAA bowling contests to finish with the highest scoring average within the CIAA at 183.69 pins per match. The freshman had the highest total pin count throughout the season with 5878. Not only is Smith the CIAA Player of the Year, she also earned Rookie of the Year as well.
 
A well-deserved honor for Head Coach Bobby Henderson as he was named CIAA Coach of the Year after leading Fayetteville State to a 40-2 CIAA record (31-2 in division play) this season. Henderson has led the Broncos to 

Bowie State University claims the CIAA Northern Division title with a 35-4 conference record and 26-1 in Northern Division play.  The Broncos of Fayetteville State University take the Southern Division Title with a 44-4 conference record and a 33-3 in Southern Division play.
