#14 Lindsey George, Bowie State
(So., DP - Fayetteville, GA)

George combined for 6-of-14 hits at bat, with four runs scored, four doubles and a homerun in which ignited the offensive run for BSU against the defending champions Claflin. The sophomore has a batting clip of .429 - a team best to go along with a conference best 27 hits and six doubles.

FOOD LION PITCHER OF THE WEEK

#5 Jaelyn Jackson, Claflin
(Sr., P - Denver, CO) 

Jaelyn had a terrific week for the Lady Panthers. She totaled nearly 26.3 innings of pitching for the Lady Panthers. She finished the week with 41 total strikeouts in six games. The highlight came against Virginia Union when she totaled 10 strikeouts in a perfect game with no hits, walks, errors, or hit batters. She also recorded 12 strikeouts against Bowie State. She also had seven strikeouts in wins over Lincoln (Pa.) and Virginia State.
 

FOOD LION DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

#5 Kamryn Kirby, Winston-Salem State
(So., OF - Winston-Salem, NC)

Playing in center field for the Rams, Kam totaled 12 put-outs and three assists defensively for the Rams. She helped the team finish 6-2 for the week, including going 4-2 during the CIAA roundup. Offensively, she also totaled four runs, one double and a RBI.
 

FOOD LION ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

#6 Zecariya Fenwick, Claflin
(Fr., 3B/C - Waldorf, Maryland)

Zecariya continued her great freshman season with some terrific play this week. She finished the week with eight runs scored and five runs batted in (RBI). At the plate, she went 10-for-22 at the plate with two doubles and a home run for the week.
