#22 Brenay Howard, Claflin

In non-conference action, Brenay Howard helped lead Claflin to a 4-2 record last week after going 11-for-20 (.550 batting average) at the plate with nine runs scored, seven runs batted in, four walks drawn, and three steals. In two wins over Harris Stowe, the senior compiled three hits in five at-bats with four runs scored, three RBIs, three walks, a triple, and a steal. The Macon, GA native went five-for-nine across two victories against Paine, while adding four RBIs, three runs scored, two doubles, and two steals. In a 12-7 loss to USC Aiken, the right fielder went three-for-four, scored twice, and stole one base.

FOOD LION PITCHER OF THE WEEK
#1 Laurel Rolle, Saint Augustine's
(Jr., P - Nassau, Bahamas)
Against Morris College last week, Laurel Rolle pitched a five inning-shutout without allowing a single hit and striking out seven batters in a 25-0 St. Augustine's win. The junior from Nassau, Bahamas also surrendered just two walks while earning her second collegiate victory.

FOOD LION DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
#3 Cydney Cooper, Claflin
(Fr., SS - Columbia, SC)
Cydney Cooper was excellent at shortstop for the Panthers last week, helping Claflin to a 4-2 record in non-conference play. The freshman racked up 14 putouts and seven assists with a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage over the six contests. In a pair of victories over Paine, the Columbia, SC native totaled eight putouts and three assists, including a five-putout, three-assist game in the second game of the doubleheader. In a loss to USC Aiken, Cooper recorded a double play. Offensively, Cooper tallied eight hits in 14 at-bats, plus eight runs scored and three walks.

FOOD LION ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
#6 Zecariya Fenwick, Claflin
(Fr., C - Waldorf, MD)
Zecariya Fenwick batted .476 (10-of-21) across six games last week while adding seven runs scored and six runs batted in for Claflin. The freshman recorded five extra base hits (two doubles, two triples, and a homerun). In the second game of a doubleheader against Harris Stowe, the Waldorf, MD native went a perfect three-for-three with a double, a triple, a walk, an RBI, and three runs scored. In a loss to USC Aiken, Fenwick logged two hits, three RBIs, and scored twice in four at-bats. In the first game of a doubleheader versus Paine, Fenwick had two hits and recorded her third career homerun.
