Fayetteville, NC - The North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame has elected Fayetteville State University Athletics Director Anthony "Todd" Bennett to its Board of Directors, the organization announced on Tuesday, February 14.

Bennett, who has led the Broncos athletics department since 2015, joins seven other members elected to the board that will serve a three-year term starting on June 1, 2023.

"It is an honor to serve the NCSHOF and to be elected alongside this newest group of members who make a daily impact on collegiate and professional athletics. I am proud to represent Fayetteville State along with the entire CIAA conference, and I look forward to helping preserve the many sports and cultural legacies across our state."

"We are confident that these new members of the Board of Directors will continue the tradition of strong leadership that the Board has demonstrated. They are very capable and willing to serve in this capacity, and they will add some new dimensions to our work as we continue to move the Hall in a new and exciting direction. We are eager to witness the contributions they will make," said Dr. Jerry McGee, president of the NCSHOF Board.

Fayetteville State athletics have experienced historical success under Bennett's leadership since his arrival on campus, winning 15 CIAA championships since 2015. FSU has recently won CIAA titles in football, men's and women's cross country, and most recently women's indoor track and field.
