CIAA announces Spring Sports Academic Awards

Softball:
The Chowan University Softball team walked away with the Highest GPA Award at the CIAA Spring Championships Ceremony on Wednesday, April 20th.

The Hawks combined for a 3.3 GPA.

Men's Tennis:
Virginia Union University's men's tennis team earned the award for having the highest cumulartive Grade Point Average (GPA) among men's tennis teams of the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association. 

VUU's men's tennis team recorded a 3.7 GPA for the year.

Women's Tennis:
The Shaw University women's tennis team was given the CIAA Academic Award for posting the highest GPA in the sport.

As a team, the Lady Bears had a 3.44 GPA on the year.
