Livingstone's Stinson to be Honored at HBCU Living Legends Scholarship Gala

Salisbury, NC  –  Livingstone College head basketball coach James Stinson will be honored at the 2017 HBCU Living Legends Scholarship Gala on August 26, 2017 at the Grand Pavilion Ballroom at the Embassy Suites in downtown Winston-Salem, N.C.

Stinson, led the Blue Bears to back to back CIAA Basketball titles in 2014 and 2015, will be one of three honorees from Barber-Scotia College. Joining Stinson will be Dr. Katie Cannon Womanist Theologian, Union Presbyterian Seminary and Ms. Joyce Truitt, Cytotechnologist, Solstas Lab Partners

The HBCU Scholarship Gala is a community-based initiative that celebrates the impact and importance of the 11 HBCU's in North Carolina.  The purpose of the initiative is to raise money for scholarships for deserving students at each institution and to honor the achievements of the alumni of each school.
